Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the longevity of polyaspartic coatings?
With proper installation and under usual wear and tear conditions, polyaspartic coatings can effortlessly serve you for over two decades.
Is it possible to apply your coating over my current flooring?
Unfortunately, no. We need to grind and remove any pre-existing coating to ensure the best results before applying a new layer.
Will there be any noticeable odor during or post-installation?
There might be a mild smell during the installation process, but our products are safe and non-hazardous. Generally, the aroma fades in a few days, especially with proper ventilation.
Which polyaspartic brands do you use?
E2U products, Prestige Protective Coatings Products and Mirabel Coatings products. All products are made in Arizona by their in-house university degreed chemists.
How much time will the flooring installation take?
The entire flooring installation is expertly completed within a day. After 4-6 hours post-installation, the floor is walkable, and full utilization can resume between 24 to 36 hours.
What is polyaspartic flooring?
Polyaspartic is a hybrid compound, bearing similarities to polyurethane but with distinct advantages. It boasts quicker curing times compared to both polyurea and epoxy and offers versatility in various temperature ranges. Moreover, it possesses enhanced durability, being four times sturdier and UV resistant.
Is there a risk of the floor becoming slippery, especially when wet?
As with many surfaces, polyaspartic floors can become slippery when there is moisture on the surface. However, we can incorporate a non-slip additive in the final coat to enhance slip resistance.
How often does the coating need maintenance or re-coating?
With proper care, our polyaspartic coatings seldom require maintenance. Depending on usage and exposure, re-coating might be considered after a decade or more.
My floor is uneven and there are visible cracks. Can you fix that?
Absolutely! We can effectively patch up any present cracks or imperfections prior to the coating installation.
What’s the environmental impact of polyaspartic coatings?
Polyaspartic coatings are environmentally friendly with low VOC (volatile organic compounds) content, making them a sustainable choice for flooring solutions.
